Anthill’s Summer Hacker House

Ant Hill House is the summer home and workspace for six of the Capital Districts' hardest working young programmers, designers, game changers and entrepreneurs. Ant Hill is a career-oriented job site that connects local college students with business professionals for project oriented or freelance work so students earn valuable experience, along with pay.

$25,000 Will Help Us To Work, Build, Grow.

Help us raise money to take Ant Hill to the next level. We're raising $25,000 so we can live, work and continue to build Ant Hill as the number one website that college students use to find work. By connecting students within the community where they go to school, we will also help build lasting connections and community involvement. We're raising $25,000 for these reasons. Take a look at who we are or head right to our donation page.

Ant Hill is community minded, so this summer we're opening our doors, giving back to our hometown.

$25k for us, this for you:

Marcella Jewell

CEO at Anthill

Even as a recent graduate, Marcella has done everything from lobbying for a universal health care firm, to software engineering, to interning at a hedge fund. Nothing has added fuel to her fire like incubating Anthill and creating a solution to an issue that negatievly affects every human: unemployment. Anthill has brought her through a two business plan competitions, to Las Vegas as Thiel Foundation Summiteer, and onto a TEDx stage where she discussed her philosophy behind entrepreneurship in a talk titled "Passion, Programming, and Pragmatism."

Marcella is an avid yogi and handstander. You'll see her walking across the street on her hands. She's inspired by Megan Smith and Hillary Clinton, and dreams about landing in the White House someday as the CTO of the USA.

Matt Barth

Head of Product at Anthill

Matt Barth spends most of his time prowling google and stack overflow looking for ways to make Anthill's tech stack bigger and better. Matt is the trendiest member of the Anthill team, which makes him perfect for analyzing data. He has climbed more mountains than Hunter, enjoys playing music and futsal, and likes learning about military and economic history.

One lucky donor will receive a bottle of the Barth family's famous maple syrup from New Hampshire.

Hunter Fortuin

Lead Developer at Anthill

Hunter grew up in the middle of nowhere, Upstate New York, with dialup internet long after the rest of the world moved onto faster things. After moving to Troy and experiencing “big city living” he skipped college and started to learn how to build startups and how to program. Now, he loves building software that solves huge problems.

When not telling computers what to do he can be found hiking up mountains during the summer or sliding down them with a snowboard strapped to his feet during the winter.

Shane Boland

Front-End Designer at Anthill

Shane is a front-end developer. He is well-known for being the world’s tallest web designer. His goal is to make websites that are fast, readable, responsive, and usable for people all over the world. This summer, Shane will be working on a project to help the homeless population of Saratoga.

He enjoys watching The Office, staring out the window, and talking to animals even though other people can’t hear them talk.

Jason Wilson

Head of City Development at Anthill

Jason has done stuff. Since graduating college, Jason has worked as a real estate consultant, a co-director of a historic preservation non-profit, has owned and operated his own real estate development company and has even hosted a nationally syndicated historic home renovation TV show. But the best is yet to come. As Head of New Market Development for Anthill, Jason is focused on public policy development and user acquisition in new markets across the US.

When not behind a computer, Jason enjoys traveling, climbing mountains, scuba diving, sailing and alligator wrestling (spectator-only).

Ethan Glass

Head of Partnerships at Anthill

Ethan, master networker, honed his skills through various life experiences. By traveling the world and living abroad twice, he has developed a passion for communicating, networking, and problem solving. Brought on at the start of the company, Anthill has allowed him to put these skills to the test. There is not a meeting he has not been to, without walking away with a business card. Ethan has assisted and witnessed the growth of the company.

When he is not up in Saratoga working, Ethan enjoys deep conversation, long walks on the beach, and helping students get jobs.
